The Black Taxi — named for the Belfast political-tour black cabs — brings a distinctly Northern Irish energy to Fairmount. Dark, low-lit, moody, with a menu that goes far beyond standard pub food.
It's a short walk from the parade route on the Parkway, which makes it a smart post-parade sit-down: real cocktails, real food (the Guinness stew is a highlight), and a proper pint.
One of the newer Irish pubs in Philadelphia and one of the best-designed.
