Parade Route

The 2027 Philadelphia St Patrick's Day Parade Route

1.4 miles from Center City to Independence Mall — here's every turn and where to stand.

Step-off: 16th Street & JFK Boulevard

The parade forms up along JFK Boulevard between 16th and 20th Streets, then steps off at 11:15 AM eastbound on JFK Boulevard.

Turn 1: Around City Hall

The line of march circles the north side of City Hall and turns south onto Broad Street, giving marchers a full lap of the country's largest municipal building. This is the widest and most photogenic stretch.

Turn 2: Onto Market Street

At Broad and Market, the parade turns east onto Market Street for the long straightaway through the heart of Center City.

Finish: 5th & Market

The reviewing stand sits near 5th & Market at Independence Mall. Grandstand seating is first-come, first-serve — arrive by 10:30 AM for a spot up front.

Best viewing spots along the route

  • Broad & Market (Dilworth Park): best for photos with City Hall as backdrop. Gets crowded early.
  • 12th & Market: quieter and family-friendly, close to Reading Terminal Market for a warm-up coffee.
  • 9th & Market: the parade is fully strung out here — great pacing, less crowd chaos.
  • 5th & Market (Reviewing Stand): where the bands do their showpiece performance for the judges.
