Road Closures, Parking & SEPTA for the 2027 Parade

What to expect on Sunday, March 14, 2027 if you're driving, parking, or riding SEPTA into Center City.

Street closures

Expect the following streets to close beginning around 9:00 AM and reopen shortly after the parade concludes (typically by 4:00 PM). Final closures are published by the City of Philadelphia the week of the parade.

  • JFK Boulevard from 20th Street to 15th Street
  • Broad Street from JFK Boulevard to Market Street (around City Hall)
  • Market Street from 15th Street to 5th Street
  • Cross streets intersecting the route between 20th & 5th

Parking restrictions

"No Parking — Emergency" signs go up along the route and staging area Saturday evening. Cars left in tow zones after 6 AM Sunday will be relocated by the Philadelphia Parking Authority. If you're driving in, plan for a garage south of Walnut or north of Vine.

SEPTA on parade day

SEPTA runs Sunday service. The Broad Street Line and Market–Frankford Line remain the fastest way in and out of Center City. Bus routes crossing the parade route (2, 4, 16, 17, 21, 23, 27, 32, 33, 38, 42, 44, 48, 61, 62, 124, 125) are typically detoured — check septa.org for day-of alerts.

Best station to arrive at

  • Watching near City Hall: 15th Street Station (Market–Frankford / Trolleys) or City Hall Station (Broad Street Line).
  • Watching near Independence Mall: 5th Street / Independence Hall Station (Market–Frankford Line).
