Step-off is 11:15 AM at 16th Street and JFK Boulevard. The full parade lasts approximately 3 to 4 hours.

Where does the parade go?

It starts at 16th & JFK, marches east around City Hall, turns onto Market Street, and finishes at 5th & Market at Independence Mall — about 1.4 miles.

How long is the Philadelphia St Patrick's Day Parade?

About three to four hours from step-off to the last unit passing the reviewing stand at 5th & Market.

Is the parade televised?

Yes, the parade is broadcast live on CBS Philadelphia (CBS 3 / KYW-TV), typically from 12 PM to 3 PM on parade day.

Yes — the Philadelphia St Patrick's Day Parade runs rain or shine. It has only been canceled a handful of times in its 250+ year history, most recently for COVID-19 in 2020 and 2021.

How busy is Philadelphia on St Patrick's Day weekend?

Are there road closures?
