Murph's has been on the corner of Girard and 2nd for generations. It's one of the last true old-Fishtown Irish corner bars — pre-craft-beer, pre-condo, pre-everything the neighborhood has become since 2015.
Inside: a rectangular bar, a Guinness tap, Eagles pennants, and prices that make the newer Fishtown bars look absurd.
On St Patrick's Day the whole east-side neighborhood ends up here. It's the correct antidote to a Center City crawl.
